Penne Pasta with Vodka Sauce

In the dog house? For those of you out there and your significant other loves pasta with a vodka sauce, this was created to help you. This complete meal takes 20 minutes but take your time.

Let’s cook!

Ingredients: 

1 lb Penne pasta

1/2 package of cooked Italian chicken

3 slices of Prosciutto

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 can of tomato paste

1/3 cup Vodka

2 tablespoons basil, slivered

4 cloves of garlic, peeled and sliced

handful of cherry tomatoes, sliced

1 tablespoon red pepper flakes

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

salt and pepper

Step 1: 

Start a pot of water for your penne pasta. In a large frying pan over low heat, melt the butter with the cream.

Step 2: 

In a bowl, add garlic, tomatoes, tomato paste and vodka. Add more vodka if your in big trouble.

Step 3: 

Mix well and add mixture to pan.

Step 4: 

Add the basil, red pepper flakes and salt and cook for 5 minutes (this is the time to put the penne pasta in the boiling water).

Step 5: 

Add chicken and prosciutto and cook for another 5 minutes. The sauce is done with it coats the back of a spoon.

Step 6: 

Add the cooked pasta to the pan.

Step 7: 

Mix well to ensure penne is thoroughly coated and time to serve.
